Ozone Pk. man punched by Far Rock resident: DA

OZONE PARK — A Far Rockaway man was arraigned earlier this month in the assault of a man in Ozone Park, a spokeswoman for Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said Tuesday.

Christopher Berrios, 18, of 178 Beach 97th St. in Far Rockaway, allegedly got into a verbal dispute with Victor Vallecillo Aug. 4 at around 10 p.m. at the intersection of Pitkin Avenue and 78th Street in Ozone Park when he punched Vallecillo several times in the face and neck, causing Vallecillo to suffer a broken and fractured jaw and cuts to the right side of his face and neck, according to the criminal complaint.

Berrios was arraigned on assault and harassment charges Dec. 16 before Queens Criminal Court Judge Lenora Gerald, who set bail at $15,000, the spokeswoman said.

His next court date was scheduled for Dec. 30.
