Far Rock man stabbed during assault: Brown

FAR ROCKAWAY — A Brooklyn man was arraigned last week on assault and criminal possession of a weapon charges stemming from the stabbing of a man in Far Rockaway, a spokeswoman for Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.

Wilson Rodriguez, 41, of 670 Sixth Ave. in Brooklyn, allegedly stabbed the victim, Ricardo Perez, in the abdomen following a verbal exchange and a physical altercation Oct. 24 in front of 250 Beach 15th St. in Far Rockaway, according to the criminal complaint. Perez needed five stitches to close his wound.

Rodriguez was arraigned Dec. 17 before Queens Criminal Court Judge Toko Serita on assault and criminal possession of a weapon charges and was held on $50,000 bail, the spokeswoman said.

His next court date was scheduled for Jan. 12.
