Astoria site of physical morning assault: Brown

ASTORIA — Two men were arrested last month for allegedly assaulting a pedestrian on the street early in the morning Feb. 17, the Queens district attorney’s office said.

Arthur Murphy, 41, of 12th Street and Jave Mead were charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment in the incident, according to the DA’s office.

The pair allegedly punched and kicked the victim several times in the head at the corner of Astoria Boulevard and Steinway Street around 2 a.m., the criminal complaint said.

Murphy sprayed mace in the victim’s face, according to the complaint.
