Teen from Brooklyn stole iPod in Queens: DA

SOUTH RICHMOND HILL — A Brooklyn teen was charged with stealing an iPhone from a man in South Richmond Hill, a spokeswoman for Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.

Ryan Singh, 16, of 439 Lincoln Ave. in Brooklyn, allegedly ran up behind the victim in front of 107-56 123rd St. in South Richmond Hill at around 6:45 p.m. April 6, grabbed the victim’s iPhone and said, “You just got D-blocked, better move or you’re gonna get rocked” before fleeing the scene, according to the criminal complaint filed with Brown.

Singh was arraigned April 7 on grand larceny charges before Queens Criminal Court Judge Joseph Zayas, who released Singh on his own recognizance, the spokeswoman said.

Singh was to return to court May 4, the spokeswoman said.
