JAMAICA — A homeless man was fatally stabbed Sunday in Jamaica while coming to the aid of a woman who was being robbed at knifepoint, police said.
Police said the woman was accosted at around 7:21 a.m. Sunday near 88th Road and 144th Street in Jamaica when the homeless man, whose identity was not released, tried to fend off the attackers.
The robbers then turned their attention to the homeless man and repeatedly stabbed him in the chest, police said.
The homeless man was only identified as a Hispanic man between 30 and 35 years old.
There were no arrests in the case as of Tuesday, police said.
