Today’s news:

U.S. leaders must get nation working again

As we are moving through 2010, many people are still asking when things will begin to improve in America. Our economy is still a huge mess, jobs are still being lost, Americans are still losing their homes due to their inability to pay ever-rising mortgage rates, the prices on everything from socks to meat, clothes to toothpaste and gas to oil continue to rise and more and more politicians are getting caught for improprieties every week.

Newspapers have a scandal to report almost every week and we, the most powerful nation in the world, are a laughingstock due to all of the above. The recently passed health care bill still has many Americans, including me, wary of how the government will implement it and who will have to foot the bill for it.

Our nation is being run like a three-ring circus — many clowns but no responsible leaders. Our president needs to focus on getting the country up and running again and people back to work and stop all of the photo-ops with foreign leaders.
