Historian to lead tours of Queens neighborhoods

Walking the streets of Queens’s multicultural neighborhoods can be a treat in its own right, but under the guidance of resident Queens historian Jack Eichenbaum, it becomes a chance to learn about the events that shaped the borough and its people.

Beginning May 29 and running through July, Eichenbaum is hosting a series of tours based on the borough’s changing cultures, as he did last year. This year he is also adding a series of tours based on interborough bus routes.

A serious contender to be appointed Queens historian next month, Eichenbaum knows the ins and outs of New York City and his tours are a chance to pick his brain on the neighborhoods that make the borough so unique.
