Teens steal flat-screen TVs in Jamaica: Brown

JAMAICA — Two teenagers from Jamaica were arrested after they allegedly stole two flat-screen televisions at a store on Jamaica Avenue, the Queens district attorney said.

Lavasky Bernard, of 172-26 Jamaica Ave., and Chandardat Kumardeo, 18, of 171-10 Jamaica Ave., were arraigned June 4 before Queens Criminal Court Judge Lenora Gerald on burglary and grand larceny charges, Queens DA Richard Brown said. The defendants, whose bail was set at $5,000, will return to court June 22, Brown said.

On May 26, the duo was allegedly caught on video surveillance taking two flat-screen TVs from a store on Jamaica Avenue, the DA said.
