Teen hit with baseball bat receives staples: Cops

BAYSIDE — Police were looking for a teenage suspect who they said assaulted a man Friday night.

The 17-year-old boy, known as “Joe Slimm,” allegedly struck the victim in the head with a baseball bat near 26th avenue and 212th Street around 10:30 p.m., according to police.

The victim needed three staples to the left side of his head, police said.

No arrests have been made by press time Tuesday, police said.
