U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-Forest Hills) tied the knot with Huma Abedin in a ceremony officiated by former President Bill Clinton in Huntington, L.I., Saturday.

Weiner, 45, and Abedin, 34, had dated for about two years after they met during U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s presidential run in 2008. Abedin has been a longtime aide for Hillary Clinton and works for her in the State Department.

“Today, Huma Abedin and Anthony Weiner, surrounded by their family and friends, were married in the garden at Oheka Castle in Huntington, L.I.,” read a statement from Weiner’s office.

The bride, who grew up in Saudi Arabia and is Muslim, wore a white dress by Oscar de la Renta to marry Weiner, who spent his childhood in Brooklyn and is Jewish. Abedin, who was once featured in a Vogue fashion spread, is reportedly good friends with de la Renta.

The secluded, 19,000-square-foot spot in Huntington includes eight reflecting pools and three fountains, according to its website.

Weiner, a Democrat who has represented the 9th Congressional District in Brooklyn and Queens since 1999, is up for re-election this November. He is being challenged by Bob Turner, a Republican.

The congressman, who lives in Forest Hills was, at 27, the youngest person to serve in the City Council. Abedin was born in Kalamazoo, Mich., and moved when she was a toddler to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where her mother is a professor. She returned to the United States to attend George Washington University.

The former president has another important wedding coming up in several weeks when his daughter Chelsea walks down the aisle. Chelsea Clinton is to marry Marc Mezvinsky, an investment banker, in upstate New York later this month.
