Cops caught man with Beretta in JFK: Brown

JAMAICA — Police arrested a man after he allegedly attempted to carry a firearm through security at John F. Kennedy International Airport, the Queens district attorney said.

Junior Almonte, whose age and address were not provided, was arrested July 14 and arraigned on criminal possession of a weapon charges, Queens DA Richard Brown said.

The defendant placed a black carry-on bag on the conveyor belt. The airport’s X-ray monitor allegedly found a 9-mm Beretta, which was loaded with 10 live hollow shells, the DA said.
