Groper caught in act with cell phone camera: Cops

ASTORIA — The city Police Department sought the public’s assistance in finding the name and whereabouts of a man connected with the sexual abuse of a woman at the Steinway Street subway station July 31.

Police said that at about 12:40 a.m. on the northbound platform of the E train, the man approached a 21-year-old Asian female and grabbed her buttocks. The female managed to take a picture of the suspect with her cell phone.

The man is described as Hispanic, in his 30s, clean-shaven and wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
