Youths robbed, attacked food delivery man: DA

BAYSIDE — Three teens were arrested earlier this month in connection with a robbery of a Chinese food delivery man, the Queens district attorney’s office said.

Matthew Riccio, 18, of Flushing; Alexander Alago, 19, of Corona; and Oscar Perez, of Corona, were all arraigned on robbery charges in connection with the July 24 incident, according to the DA’s office.

Around 6:30 p.m., the 33-year-old delivery man was near a home at 216th Street and 38th Avenue when he was approached by three people — one of whom had a gun, the criminal complaint said. The suspect allegedly demanded money, struck the delivery man behind the head and stole his wallet, according to the complaint.

Riccio and Perez told police they robbed the delivery man and Alago said he drove to a pay phone to call the victim to the scene, the complaint said.
