People should learn responsibility when they deal with mortgages

More political, vote-getting nonsense.

The political intelligentsia wants lending institutions to change their lending practices because some people cannot pay their mortgages. Did anyone ever ask these solons why these people borrowed money they could not repay in the first place? Of course, there are plenty of elected officials who believe government or the next guy should pick up the tab without any regard to the people who pay their mortgages or who live in apartment houses and whose taxes are used to help New Yorkers get the help they need.

I wonder how many elected officials who lent money to someone would feel if the debt was not repaid to them. Maybe if our representatives cut their salaries they could use the money for those living in $300,000 houses.
