September starts off with 3 Bayside burglaries

BAYSIDE — The 111th Precinct reported three burglaries in northeast Queens early September, police sources said.

The first occurred Friday, when an unknown perpetrator cut through the side window of a residence on 187th Street in Douglaston by cutting holes in the screen, then left through the garage door, police said. Police did not say whether anything was stolen.

The second incident took place at a commercial property on Bell Boulevard Saturday in Bayside, police said. Unknown perpetrators broke into the location through its roof and removed $300 from its register, an unknown amount of money from the ATM machine and the commercial property’s security system.

The third incident occurred Monday at a residence in Douglas Manor, police said. An unknown person or persons attempted to forcibly enter the residence by breaking a latch on the front window, police said. The screen was removed and placed against a bush in the yard, police said. No property was removed from the residence, police said.
