ROCKAWAY BEACH — A Richmond Hill resident allegedly drove drunk on the boardwalk at Rockaway Beach early Aug. 31 with six children in the car, five of whom were younger than 14, said the Queens District Attorney’s office.
Renato Bernal, 41, of 129th Street in Richmond Hill, was arraigned Aug. 31 in Queens Criminal Court on charges of reckless endangerment, operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol with children in the car and endangering the welfare of a child, said the DA.
Bail for Bernal has been set at a $7,500 bond with $5,000 cash and Bernal is scheduled to return to court Sept. 13, the DA’s office said.
