Teen assaults woman, steals her iPhone: DA

OZONE PARK — A Jamaica teen was charged with robbery and criminal possession of stolen property after he allegedly swiped an iPhone from a woman in Ozone Park, a spokeswoman for Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.

The teen, whose name is not being released because he is 15, allegedly knocked the woman to the ground, dragged her by the arms and stole her iPhone between 11:30 a.m. and 11:41 a.m. Sept. 13 near 126th Street and Rockaway Boulevard in Ozone Park, according to the criminal complaint.

The teen was arraigned Sept. 14 before Queens Criminal Court Judge Elisa Koenderman, who released him on his own recognizance on charges of robbery and criminal possession of stolen property, the spokeswoman said.
