Girl snaps picture of harassment suspect

CORONA — A 12-year-old girl was sexually harassed in a No. 7 train subway station last week, but she was able to snap a cell phone picture of the alleged pervert, before he got away, police said.

The incident took place Friday around 3 p.m. at the Junction Boulevard subway station, police said. The victim was walking up the stairs when the suspect allegedly reached out and placed his hand on her butt and ran off into a southbound No. 7 train, according to police.

The suspect was described as a 35-year-old Hispanic man and approximately 5-feet-11-inches tall with black hair and brown eyes, police said. He was seen wearing a gray Yankees sweater and a gray and blue ski cap.

The victim photographed the man on her phone as he got away, police said.
