Suspects sought in four boro robberies: Police

SOUTH OZONE PARK— The Queens robbery squad was huntingfor suspects who they said were behind four robberies last month in different parts of Queens.

The first incident took place around 10 a.m. Dec. 9 at a minimart on Sutter Avenue in South Ozone Park, police said. An unidentified black man with a red cloth over his face entered the store with a gun and demanded cash, police said. The robber made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and no one was hurt, according to investigators.

The next day around midnight, police said the same man and an unidentified accomplice entered an auto garage in Hillside Avenue in Bellerose with their faces covered and armed with guns. The men fled with an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, according to police.

On Dec. 19, the two suspects entered a 7-Eleven store on Main Street in Kew Gardens around 4 a.m. and once again demanded cash while showing off firearms, police said. The suspects took off with an undisclosed amount of cash, investigators said.

Two days later, around midnight, the pair robbed a convenience store on Metropolitan Avenue in Ridgewood, according to police. The two displayed a firearm and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, investigators said.

In all of the incidents, the suspects were wearing dark hoodies and had red cloths covering their faces, police said. They also were observed getting away in a Dodge Charger.
