Man tried to rape woman off Bell Blvd.

BAYSIDE — A man attempted to rape a woman walking down Bell Boulevard in Bayside Sunday morning, police said.

The man, who has not been caught, pulled the woman into a doorway around the intersection of 38th Avenue and Bell Boulevard around 6 a.m. Sunday, police said. He proceeded to pull her pants and underwear down and attempted to assault her, police said.
