For a second consecutive year, the Straphangers Campaign has found the No. 7 subway line to be the city’s best.
The transit advocacy agency cited the No. 7 for cleanliness and reliability, although it came in no better than fifth concerning the chance of finding a seat on the crowded trains.
The Q train came in fifth, the E sixth, the J/Z seventh, the M eighth, followed by the No. 4, N, No. 5, W, No. 3, V, A, B, F, No. 2, D, R and — at the bottom — C.
The report praised the subway system, which the Straphangers said improved in public announcements and cleanliness and had fewer breakdowns.
