Boro man threatens 2 people with death: DA

FLUSHING — A Ridgewood man was charged with threatening a woman and a man with a hammer in a fight over a parking space in Flushing and telling them he was going to kill them around 6:45 p.m. Nov. 4, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.

Dezhong Xiao, 40, of Ridgewood, was charged with menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment after he allegedly became irate during a verbal dispute over a parking space at 133-09 41st Road, the DA said.

According to the DA, the man allegedly exited his vehicle, waved the hammer in front of the pair, grabbed the woman’s jacket and pressed his hand in her face.

Both the victims said the incident placed them in imminent fear of physical injury, the DA said.

Xiao is expected back in court Dec. 6.
