Far Rockaway man stole Zyrtec from Rite Aid: DA

CORONA — A Far Rockaway man was charged with stealing more than $1,000 worth of allergy medication from a Corona Rite Aid, a spokeswoman for Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.

Pinkney Pearson, of 40-00 Beach Channel Drive in Far Rockaway, allegedly entered the Rite Aid at 57-16 99th St. between 8:46 a.m. and 9 a.m. when he swiped 81 packs of Zyrtec totaling $1,292.40, putting the medication in his jacket and boot, the criminal complaint said.

Pearson was arraigned Jan. 16 on charges of grand larceny, petit larceny and criminal trespass before Queens Criminal Court Judge Joseph Grosso, who set bail at $5,000, the spokeswoman said.

Pearson was scheduled to appear in court Feb. 1.
