Homeless man stole condoms from store: DA

HOLLIS — A homeless man was charged with stealing a box of condoms and two hair dryers from a Hollis Walgreen’s, a spokeswoman for Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.

Troy Artis, 41, allegedly stole the items Jan. 19 between 2:50 p.m. and 3:09 p.m. from the Hollis Walgreen’s at 109-62 Francis Lewis Blvd., according to the criminal complaint.

Artis was arraigned Jan. 20 on charges of petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property before Queens Criminal Court Judge Stephanie Zaro, who set bail at $1,500, the spokeswoman said.
