Schwartz gets Conservative votes for not being on Republican line

An open letter to TimesLedger Newspaper columnist Dee Richard:

The reason Bob Schwartz got all the votes on the Conservative line is because state Sen. Toby Stavisky (D-Whitestone) had no opponent on the Republican line (“Most Conservative votes go to Schwartz in Stavisky seat race,” Dec. 9).

Voters who wanted to cast a ballot against the incumbent could only find Schwartz on the Conservative line. That is my “logical explanation of the results.”
