2 boro residents stole eatery patron’s ID: DA

ELMHURST — Two Applebee’s bartenders from Corona and Fresh Meadows allegedly used a stolen credit card to shop at the Queens Center Mall between Jan. 31 and Feb. 4, the Queens district attorney said.

Cindy Lopez, 21, of Corona, and Andres Alvarez, 20, of Fresh Meadows, allegedly used a credit card an Applebee’s customer had left inside a bill folder to make purchases that totaled several hundred dollars at Mrs. Field’s Cookies, Aldo, Armani Exchange and Fossil, the DA said.

The two were arraigned Feb. 4 on charges of grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, identity theft, petit larceny and unlawful possession of personal identification, according to the DA.

They will return to court March 9.
