Police looking for clues in robbery of church

ELMHURST — Police have asked the public to provide information about a recent grand larceny.

Sometime between 7:30 p.m. Feb. 26 and 10 a.m. Feb. 27, an unidentified suspect or suspects stole several religious articles from a closet in St. Bartholomew Church, at 43-22 Ithaca St. The stolen items include a chalice.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-8477.
