JACKSON HEIGHTS — A Jackson Heights man was arraigned on charges of assault, menacing and harassment after he allegedly pulled a woman’s hair and punched her in the face, a spokeswoman for Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.

Jorge Morales, 23, of 30-38 78th St. in Jackson Heights, allegedly assaulted the woman Feb. 27 in front of 32-54 71st St., according to the criminal complaint.

Morales allegedly pulled the woman’s hair and punched her in the face, causing swelling and redness to her face, the complaint said.

Morales was arraigned March 2 before Queens Criminal Court Judge Michael Yavinsky on charges of assault, menacing and harassment, the spokeswoman said.

Morales was released on his own recognizance and expected to return to court April 7, the spokeswoman said.
