Astoria Super 8 robbed at gunpoint: Police

ASTORIA — The NYPD was searching for a man who entered a motel in Astoria carrying a gun and robbed it last month.

Police said that on March 20 at about 9:55 p.m. the man, described as a Hispanic male about 5 feet 9 inches and weighing 140 pounds, went into the Super 8 Motel, at 31-62 14th St., and demanded money. The man then used his gun to shut the surveillance TV and fled the scene with an unknown amount of cash, police said. None were injured, police said.
