Cops investigate two sexual assaults in boro

SPRINGFIELD GARDENS — The NYPD was searching for a suspect wanted in connection with two attempted sexual assaults.

The suspect, described as a black male between the ages of 18 and 22, approaches his victims, physically assaults them and the attempts to sexually assault them, said the police.

Police said he first attacked a woman March 26 near Rockaway Boulevard and 158th Street, and struck again April 22 near 135th Avenue and 220th Street.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging on to the Crime Stoppers website at nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting their tips to 274637, then enter TIP577.
