Andrew B. Marshall, 94

Andrew B. Marshall, a 57-year resident of Little Neck until March, died of natural causes Dec. 15. He was 94.

He was born in Manhattan and a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He retired from the NYPD in 1969. He was an elder in the Community Church of Little Neck and an adult sponsor of the Christian Endeavor youth group.

Marshall received the Francis E. Clark Service Award in 2006. He was a past master of Scotia Lodge No. 634 F & AM and received his 65-year membership certificate in 2009. He was also active in the Empire State Masons. He was a past president of the city Police Square Club and captain of its degree team. He was also a past patron of the Bayside chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Visiting hours were Dec. 17 at the Doyle Shaffer Funeral Home at 45-09 Little Neck Pkwy. in Little Neck. A funeral was held Dec. 18 at the funeral home with burial at Nassau Knolls Cemetery at 500 Port Washington Blvd. in Port Washington, L.I. In lieu of flowers, support for the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, at 371 E. Jericho Tnpk. in Smithtown, L.I., would be appreciated.

Marshall is survived by his three children, six grandchildren and one great-grandson.
