Cops look for suspect in death of Rochdale man

QUEENSBRIDGE — Police have requested the public’s help in locating a man wanted for ties to an incident in which a Rochdale man was killed on the grounds of the Queensbridge Houses in January.

The NYPD describes the man, Devon Smith, as a 27-year-old black male 5-foot-6 and weighing 180 pounds with his hair tied into braids. Elizabethtown, N.C., is a spot where he is known to often go, police said.

Smith is wanted in connection with an incident in which Clarence Williamson, 39, of 176-57 133rd Road in Rochdale, was found at the housing complex Jan. 29 with a gunshot wound in his left shoulder, police said.
