Attacker broke cheek, then choked woman: DA

BROAD CHANNEL — A Broad Channel man allegedly fractured someone’s face June 19, but not before also allegedly choking a woman who tried to stop the beating, the Queens DA said.

David Ross, 29, of 526 Cross Bay Blvd., was in front of Tommy’s Pizza, at 915 Cross Bay Blvd., at about 9:10 p.m. when he knocked the victim to the ground by punching him in the face, according to documents from the Queens district attorney’s office.

Ross continued to kick the victim in the face, fracturing his cheekbone, the documents said.

When a woman tried to intervene and stop the fight, Ross grabbed her around the neck and choked her, the documents said.

He was charged with assault, the document said.
