Cops confiscate 17 rifles, BB Gun from boro home

MIDDLE VILLAGE — Police found multiple, unregistered rifles in the home of a Middle Village man as they were arresting him on a domestic abuse call, the Queens District Attorney’s office said.

Anthony Macchirole, 60, was charged with weapons and assault charges after he allegedly threatened a woman in his Eliot Avenue house June 21, the DA said. Macchirole and the woman got into a verbal argument, at which point he allegedly grabbed her by the left shoulder and arm and dragged outside, throwing her to the ground, the DA said. Macchirole then allegedly grabbed her by the hair, the DA said.

“Get out of here before I kill you,” Macchirole allegedly said to the woman.

Police responded at 12:30 p.m. and found an assault rifle, 16 other rifles and a BB gun after asking him if he had firearms in his house, the DA said.

“Yeah, I have a few,” Macchirole said to police, according to the DA.
