LONG ISLAND CITY — A Long Island City teenager has been charged with damaging a refrigerator at SCO Family Services in Long Island City, according to the criminal complaint.

Daniel Harris, 19, who address was listed as 38-55 12th St., one of numerous sites run by SCO Family Services — which provides services and housing for homeless and other disadvantaged New Yorkers — allegedly opened a refrigerator at the location and ripped out all its shelves, then ripped the door off the refrigerator, according to the complaint.

Harris was arraigned June 29 in Queens Criminal Court and he faces one charge of criminal mischief, the DA said. He was released on his own recognizance and is due to appear again in court Aug. 8, according to the DA.
