KEW GARDENS — A person was killed by a train Tuesday afternoon at the Kew Gardens-Union Turnpike subway stop, according to the Breaking News Network.
The person, whose name was not released, was struck Tuesday by a train at the station — which serves the E and F subway lines — and authorities requested power be turned off to a southbound track, BNN reported.
Power was not initially shut down on the track, according to BNN, and a rescue train was sent Tuesday afternoon to remove all passengers from the train before the power was to be shut off.
