Safe, cell phone stolen from boro home: Cops

OZONE PARK — The NYPD has asked for the public’s assistance in identifying suspects wanted in a robbery.

At about 1 a.m. July 8, five men — one armed with a gun — entered a private Ozone Park residence where two people were inside, the police said.

Once inside, the suspect put a 31-year-old man on the floor and asked him where the money was, according to the police.

When the man did not answer, the suspect struck him with the gun, after which the five men proceeded to remove a safe from his bedroom and take a cell phone from a second victim, the police said.

The suspects are described as black men between the ages of 20 and 25. Their heights are described as ranging from 5 feet 8 inches tall to 6 feet tall. All were armed with black handguns.

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call the NYPD’s Crimestoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
