Senior beats victim with cane, resists arrest: DA

LITTLE NECK — An 83-year-old man was arrested last week for allegedly beating another man with his cane, the Queens district attorney’s office said.

Nan Sool Kang, of 68th Avenue and 240th Street, was arraigned July 18 on assault, criminal possession of a weapon and resisting arrest, the DA’s office said.

Around 4:40 p.m. the day before, the senior citizen head-butted the victim, then struck him in the back of his head with an aluminum cane, the criminal complaint said.

When police arrived at the scene, Kang allegedly began kicking an officer in an attempt to prevent from being handcuffed, according to the complaint.
