Motorcyclist dies after hitting vehicle: Police

ROSEDALE — A 36-year-old man died in a motorcycle accident near a playground Monday, police said.

Officers responded to a 911 call that the man had crashed near the corner of 136th Avenue and Brookville Boulevard at about 6:15 p.m., in front of a park.

The man was riding a 2006 Honda motorcycle southbound on Brookville Boulevard when he collided with a 2007 Toyota Camry, which was in the process of making a U-turn, police said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

A witness described the motorcyclist as not wearing a full-faced helmet.
