Police seek man who robbed cell phone

WOODSIDE — The NYPD has asked for the public’s assistance in identifying an individual wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred in the confines of the 108th Precinct.

At 1:55 a.m. Aug. 14, a 21-year-old Hispanic was approached at the corner of 72nd Street and 41st Avenue by an unknown black male, who allegedly displayed a silver firearm and demanded his property, according to police.

He removed the victim’s cell phone and an undetermined amount of money and fled the location in a green, four-door sedan, the police said.

The suspect is described as being a 5-foot-7, 150-pound black male between 30 and 40 years old with a dark complexion who speaks with a foreign accent. He was last seen wearing a blue stripe polo shirt.
