Astoria Houses teenager sought in shooting: Cops

ASTORIA — Police were looking for an Astoria Houses resident suspected of shooting another male in the torso and in the leg in Astoria on the afternoon of Sept. 9.

Police responded to the call at 12:38 p.m. at 50-28 31st Ave. and brought the victim to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

The prime suspect is 17-year-old Barkim Hicks, police said. The NYPD describes him as a black man standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
