Queens Library gala to raise money for resources

The Queens Library will hold its annual gala in Long Island City next week, an event that will raise money for new library materials and resources, as well as honor members of the community.

Admission to the gala, which will take place at Studio Square, at 35-44 37th St. from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., costs $350 per person.

This year, honorees include Michael Dana, president of Flushing’s Sky View Parc’s developer Onex Real Estate Partners; George Stamatiades, vice president of Dignity Memorial Funeral Providers and activist and former board of trustees member for the Queens Library; and Cisco, a corporation that often partners with nonprofits and other agencies, including community-based children’s education.
