Rosedale murder suspect in video sought by police

ROSEDALE — Police have released a video of an individual they would like to question in connection with the murder of a Rosedale teen in Brooklyn last month.

Kyanna Thomas, 16, of 149th Road, was stabbed in the head around 3 a.m. Sept. 25 at the corner of McDougal Street and Saratoga Avenue in Brownsville, Brooklyn, police said. She was rushed to Interfaith Hospital but was pronounced dead once she arrived there, according to police.

Police have released a video depicting a 5-foot-8 black man between 18 and 20 years old and weighing 160 pounds running in a white T-shirt and long, dark shorts. Detectives said they would like to question him about the homicide.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $12,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever committed the murder.
