Thieves unsuccessful in stealing iPod: Brown

JAMAICA — A 20-year-old man was arrested last week after he tried to rob someone’s iPod, the Queens district attorney’s office said.

Nicholas Kallo, of 107th Avenue in South Jamaica, was arraigned on attempted robbery charges in Queens Criminal Court, according to the DA’s office.

On Oct. 5, around 4 p.m., the suspect and another man who had not been arrested as of press time Tuesday approached a man from the back at the corner of 103rd Avenue and Lefferts Boulevard, the criminal complaint said.

They allegedly asked the victim to give them “what he was listening to” and went through his pockets, according to the complaint.

Kallo and his alleged accomplice punched and kicked the victim, who did not give up his property, the complaint said.
