Autumn leaves can be composted to make rich, new soil for future planting.

Bring your bagged, residential leaves to Queens Library at Broadway, at 40-20 Broadway in Long Island City, Dec. 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Western Queens Compost Initiative will remove them free of charge, then start them off to a green, new life.
