LONG ISLAND CITY — The authorities were searching for three men who they say raped a 20-year-old woman early Sunday morning.

The incident took place around 3:45 a.m. near Vernon Boulevard and 10th Street, where the victim was grabbed by two men from behind, police said.

The unidentified men allegedly dragged her to a parking lot and placed her between two cars, according to investigators.

A third suspect, who was described as a white man between 25 and 30 years old and 5-foot-10 with dirty blonde hair and light colored eyes, raped the victim as the other two men continued to hold her down, investigators said.

The three fled the scene and the victim was taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment for her injuries, according to police.
