Three suspects sought in two Ditmars robberies

ASTORIA — Police were searching for three individuals wanted in connection with two robberies that occurred on the same day on Ditmars Boulevard three blocks away from each other.

On Dec. 1 at around 7 p.m., the three suspects approached a 33-year-old woman on Ditmars Boulevard near 27th Street, police said. They showed her a black, semi-automatic handgun and demanded her cash and cell phone, after which they fled southbound on 27th Street, police said.

About 4 1/2 hours later, the suspects approached a 25-year-old man on Ditmars Boulevard near 24th Street, once again brandishing a semi-automatic weapon and demanding cash and a cell phone, police said. After the incident, they fled southbound down 24th Street, police said.
