Traffic violation foils Forest Hills getaway

FOREST HILLS — The getaway of two alleged robbers was cut short when police stopped them for a traffic violation on Friday, the New York Post reported.

Charles Webster, 22, and Francis Devivio, 23, walked into a Mobil gas station on the corner of Woodhaven and Yellowstone boulevards and allegedly pulled out guns and demanded cash at about 3 a.m. before fleeing the scene, the Post reported.

But cops later stopped Devivio for driving the wrong way down a one-way street, according to the Post. They arrested the pair and charged them with robbery, the Post reported.
