Cops assaulted before tackling man, 18: Post

RIDGEWOOD — Seven police officers subdued a feisty teenager on the night of Jan. 24, but not before the teen told them, “I’m going to kick your ass” and then followed up on his promise, the New York Post reported.

Anthony Merino, 18, allegedly shouted, “I have been f—ed up on Bacardi Limon all day. Can I have some more LSD, please?” when police responded to his home on 64th Street near Cooper Avenue at about 10 p.m., according to the New York Post.

Merino allegedly pushed one police officer through a glass door, bit another officer on the hand, hit an officer in the face with a portable CD burner and punched and bit yet another officer before succumbing to the city’s finest, the Post reported.

Merino was charged with resisting arrest and assault, the Post reported.
