Man cut with glass bottle in boro bar: Brown

SOUTH RICHMOND HILL — A Brooklyn resident was arraigned on charges of assault and harassment Feb. 2 for allegedly throwing a glass bottle at a man in a South Richmond Hill bar, the Queens district attorney’s office said.

Nickey Giahia, 34, of Barbery Street in Brooklyn, was at a bar at 107-12 101st Ave. Jan. 9, the DA said. He allegedly threw a glass bottle at another man at about 12:30 a.m., the DA said. The glass struck the man in the head, cutting his face and causing him pain, the DA said.

Emergency Medical Services treated the victim’s injuries at the scene, the DA said.

Giahia’s next court date is March 16, the DA said.
